No new bills introduced at student government

Franciscan University’s student government received no bills to vote on during their weekly meeting Oct. 9.

During their informal-dress meeting this week, the members of student government were left without anything to discuss due to the rare incident of having no newly presented bills.

The senior members were dismissed after receiving forms concerning the individual clubs they sponsor.

The president and vice-president used the meeting time to review student government’s constitution and other bylaws with the new senators and justices. They made sure to emphasize that the new members of student government are the representatives of the entirety of the student body and must project a positive, true image.

Those present at the meeting read through and discussed the constitution and the majority of the bylaws of student government before the end of the allotted time at noon.

Barring any similar incident, next week’s student government meeting will proceed as normally scheduled.
