'Tremors' perfect monster movie
One of the greatest pleasures of monster movies is how, when done well, they function as a kind of puzzle. The early stages of the film set up the “rules” of the monster: what it can, will, won’t, and cannot do. Then the characters are thrown in with the monsters and forced to find a way to apply the rules to escape or destroy the monster.

Students complain so many times that there is nothing to do off campus – except drive to Robinson and go shopping, or go to Pittsburgh to see a show.
Shopping just isn’t my thing, and going to the theater is expensive, so in my four years here, I’ve managed to find a few other ways to keep myself entertained on the weekends.

'The Kid' whimsical without being patronizing
From the opening sequence where a red airplane swoops down and frightens Bruce Willis out of his socks, it is clear that “The Kid” is no ordinary film. It is one of those wonderfully whimsical films that leaves much to the viewer’s imagination.
