pajama ramaAmidst music and chatter, students clad in their finest evening wear gathered in the J.C. Williams Center on Saturday for a night filled with games, food and fun.

There were a few differences in the activities available at this year's Pajamarama, sponsored by Exc!te, due to complications and last minute changes. The iconic bounce house was not present, nor was the Sumo wrestling game.

In spite of those two popular activities being absent, there was "enough set up to keep everyone occupied and having fun," said Exc!te member Rachel Ringiewicz.

Freshman Jennifer Riley expressed her love for having an excuse to hang out in her sleepwear and said that she enjoyed the free pizza, breakfast food and seeing "everyone in something dorky." She said, "If you're embarrassed about being in your pajamas in public, it's worth it to have fun for free in the J.C."

Students ventured around the J.C. in their fuzzy footy pajamas, clutching their teddy bears, to check out games like "Minute to Win It," in which competitors were challenged to complete a random task in one minute to win a gift card prize. In the Gentile Gallery, students could partake in Twister games to win gift cards, as well.

One of the more popular attractions of the evening was an oversized, inflatable red couch where students took photos to have printed on a keepsake key chain. Students also enjoyed reminiscing over their childhood in the "90s TV lounge," featuring episodes of "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and "Saved by the Bell".

Although several students expressed disappointment over the lack of the bounce house and Sumo wrestling game, everyone agreed that just being able to spend time with friends was what made the night a success.

"Tonight's event went very well," said Ringiewicz. "We had a larger crowd than we expected, so it was great. "Minute to Win It" was a great success. We appreciated all the support and love we got from the students."
