Alright, so for those of you that follow along, I said that last week's article was my last. I apologize, it seems that I mistakenly looked over the schedule and that in fact this week is my very last article.
Time flies when you're in college, and before I know it I will be handed a diploma (or one will come in the mail) and I will be off into the real world battling co-workers and the high cost of living prices. It's a scary time in every graduate's life, and I can honestly say that the one thing that helps keep my head on straight is the knowledge that sports will never change.
Well, of course, teams will change and the rules associated with each sport will change but the sports themselves will still bring me the same pleasure they have since I was a five-year-old boy.
It's a funny thing when you realize that maybe you got it right at such a young age. I don't know if other sports fans have ever thought about this, but if I could go back in time to when I watched my first Pacer game, I would high-five myself and tell him that I am entering a journey that will last a lifetime. I will never stop being a sports fan. That five-year-old kid in me got it completely right.
