
Elizabeth Wong, Editor-in-Chief, is a senior communications major with a concentration in journalism and a minor in philosophy. Working with the Troubadour since her arrival at Franciscan University by starting as a writer and moving onto assistant editor last year, she has now found herself as editor-in-chief. She spent the spring of her sophomore year in Washington, D.C. at the Washington Journalism Center, a program training Christians to work in the mainstream journalism field, and had the amazing experience of interning with The Washington Times. All types of writing are very close to her heart, but she especially loves news writing because of the opportunity to meet people, learn their stories, and grow in her own understanding of society and individuals.
Emily Lahr, Assistant Editor, is a senior double majoring in journalism and history. Emily has been with the Troubadour for three years as a reporter and now serves as the assistant editor. Emily has worked for several publications in Minnesota and interned for Catholic News Service during her sophomore semester while taking classes with the Washington Journalism Center in Washington D.C. When she is not writing or reading the latest news, she loves to be with friends, dance, and plan for her upcoming wedding.
Christopher Pagano, Business Manager, is a senior finance major with a minor in accounting. After having an internship with Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide, a leading advertiser for pharmaceuticals, he has found great interest in combining his financial background with his relationship building capabilities in his business career. He always enjoys playing sports, studying in the library, and being in his home state, New Jersey.
Sarah Huber, Photo Editor, is a junior from Orange County, Calif. She is a communications arts multimedia major with a minor in theology. In addition to being the photo editor of the Troubador Sarah also is a photographer for the Athletics Department's Media Relations team. She has a passion for photography and graphic design and hopes to do something with either of them when she graduates and gets a "big girl job." But most importantly she loves to have fun and cant wait to see what God has in store for her and her life.
Matt Merkel, Sports Editor, is a senior from Dayton, Ohio. He is a communication arts radio/TV major. In addition to being the sports editor of The Troubador, Matt writes press releases and game recaps for the Athletic Department’s Media Relations team. After school, he wants to be a sports reporter and take his work as a broadcaster. In his free time, Matt reads and watches more sports. Sometimes not in that order.

Jordan Otero, Web Editor, is a junior journalism major with a minor in political science from Southington, Conn. Jordan came to The Troubadour with four years of high school journalism experience, and has been serving The Troubadour staff for three years, with one semester as layout editor. She spent the fall semester of her sophomore year in Washington, D.C. at The Washington Journalism Center as a reporting intern for The Washington Times, and recently returned from studying abroad at Franciscan University of Steubenville's Austria campus. In her free time, Jordan enjoys reading, spending time with her household, Daughters of Jerusalem.

A.J. Miller, Copy Editor, is a senior journalism major with a German minor from Indianapolis, Ind., a member of Pater Noster men's household and the German Club. A.J. is an Eagle Scout. He spends his free time working on cars, reading books, working at Chick-fil-A and talking with his fiancé. A.J. has worked for The Troubador as a writer in the past, and is the current Editor-in-Chief of The Gadfly. Try not to hold that against him.
Sylvia Pultorak, Layout Editor, is a senior theology, catechetics, and French major who has been serving The Troubadour since the beginning of her career at Franciscan. Other than sitting in the Troub office making the newspaper look nice and writing articles when needed, she enjoys being a part of music ministry as a flutist and being coordinator for her household. She embraces her studies in the theological and catechetical fields and hopes someday to enter any type of ministry where she can show others the path to Christ, but most of all give God glory through the gifts He has given her.
Nick Lannigan, Layout Editor, is a management major and has been working on The Troubadour staff since Spring 2010, first as a writer, later web editor, and now layout editor! Nick is from Tampa, Fla., and a huge Florida Gator's fan! When he isn't in class he works for athletics, and is a marketing intern for Business Armory. For breaks you can usually find him at any of Florida's beaches. Besides relaxing on the beach, Nick's Catholic faith is very important to him, his devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes is intense and hopes to go back to help serve in Lourdes, France.
