Ethics seminar will educate social workers

Franciscan University
of Steubenville’s social work department will present "Ethical
and Legal Issues in Professional Practice," featuring attorneys Robert
Johns and Craig Allen, and a panel of professional social workers and
counselors on March 5 in the Gentile Gallery starting at 8:30 a.m.
Upon completion of the seminar, participants should better understand the connection between ethical and legal issues in practice and be able to articulate a variety of strategies for avoiding ethical violations and legal liability related to unethical practice.
Three continuing education credits will be provided through Jefferson Behavioral Health System, an approved provider of the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board.
The registration fee is $25. Reservations are encouraged, but not required. Make checks payable to Franciscan University of Steubenville (mail to Patty Scheel, Egan Hall, 1235 University Blvd., Steubenville, OH 43952).
